Importing and Exporting Projects, Scrapers and Scripts

Goal:

  • Import and import a project.
  • To export and import a scraper.
  • To export and import a script.

Prerequisites

  1. Preconfigured
    • Project
    • Scraper
    • Script

Creating prerequisites

  1. Head over to https://app.scrapex.ai/ and click on the New Project button
  2. Enter a project name and enter https://example.org as the URL and test as the project name.
  3. Leave proxy settings as such and click on the Create button. You are now redirected to the project details page.
  4. Click on the New Script button to create a script.

Creating dummy configurations for scripts and scrapers

  1. On the project details page, click on the default scraper to open up the configurator.
    • Click on the DOM single and click anywhere inside the cloud browser to create a tag.
    • Click Submit.
  2. Headback to the project details page to and click on the Sample Script.
    • Click on save to configure the script with basic details.

Exporting a project

  1. Click on the export button on the top right to export the project.

Importing a project

  1. Head over to https://app.scrapex.ai/
  2. Click on the Import button on the table.
  3. Select the JSON file to be imported.
  4. Click Ok.

Exporting a scraper

  1. Head over to https://app.scrapex.ai/
  2. Click on the required project name to go to the project details page.
  3. Click on the required scraper.
  4. Click on the export button on the top right.
  5. Click Ok.

Importing a scraper

  1. Head over to https://app.scrapex.ai/
  2. Click on the required project name to go to the project details page.
  3. Click on the import button on the scrapers table.
  4. Select the JSON file to be imported.

Exporting a script

  1. Head over to https://app.scrapex.ai/
  2. Click on the required project name to go to the project dashboard page.
  3. Click on the required script.
  4. Click on the export button on the top right.

Importing a script

  1. Head over to https://app.scrapex.ai/
  2. Click on the required project name to go to the project details page.
  3. Click on the import button on the scripts table.
  4. Select the JSON file to be imported.
  5. Click Ok
